Worried about diabetes
Man I worry too much. Grandma and I started talking about diabetes because it was in the Health section of today's newspaper and like I'm worried that I have it. Mainly because she said that her grandmother on her father's side (basically a better way to say this would be my paternal, maternal great-great grandmother or something close to that) had diabetes and she didn't know she had it until she burned her foot and it didn't want to heal, which I believe is one of the main signs you have it. And I'm worried that I have it because it takes like a month for small ant bites to heal. But then again it might be that I don't put anything on it like band aids and stuff. I have a weird thing against band aids for some reason. I wear it for a little while then it comes off. Kinda reminds me back in May when I had the accident with my right foot. Ugh. Anyway, I have barely anything to worry about 'cuz I'm not black, native american, or hispanic (it's a risk factor for type 2 diabetes). Oh well, I need to stop worrying so much. |
