*FANFIC* Kim Possible's Jurassic Park: Chapter 9*FANFIC*
5:47 p.m. on April 22, 2004

Kim ran over to a pile of palms. She hoped inside that the groan was Ron's. But it turned out to be Ian. She pulled the palm off of his chest and looked down at his leg. There was a belt around his leg. "He put a tourniquet on. Ian. Ian!" Kim said, kneeling down near him.

"Remind me to thank John for a lovely weekend," Ian said.

There was a distant roar. Kim and Muldoon looked up together and pointed the flashlights they had in the direction of the roar. "Can we chance moving him?" Kim asked.

Shortly after, there was a second roar in the distance. Ian sat up on his elbows. "Please chance it," Ian said. Kim wanted to ask Ian where her children and husband were but she did not want to burden Ian with having to relive whatever happened.

Kim looked around the area where the 1st car used to have been. There was mud and maps of the park, but nothing else. "Kim, come on!" Muldoon said. He was standing by the jeep.

She looked at the ledge of the paddock. "Wait. Wait," Kim said. Kim leaned over to look down past the ledge. "The other car!"

They got onto the ground where the other car lay on its roof, part of it destroyed from the tree and the Rex. "Dr. Stoppable!" Muldoon said.

"Ron!" Kim yelled. Oh, Ron, where are you? Kim thought. She looked inside the car. "Ron!" she said, her voice at a near sob. She sounded as if she was going to cry.

"They're not here," Muldoon said.

Something caught Kim's attention as she was kneeling and looking at the inside of the overturned car. They were footprints. They looked like the shoe prints of Ron's shoes. She knew they were Ron's because who's else could they possible be? She felt somewhat relieved. But not totally. She wanted to find her family. But Kim knew, that even she, a person who said that she could do anything, and had done so, that she couldn't fight dinosaurs.

There was a loud booming noise. He was sitting in the back of the jeep. Ian looked down at the water in a giant footprint. "Anybody hear that? That's an impact tremor is what it is. I'm fairly alarmed here," he said to himself. Then he motioned frantically for Kim and Robert. "Come on, we gotta get out of here right now! Go, go, go! Let's go!"

Kim and Robert ran over to the jeep and got in as fast as they could. "Start the engine!" Ian yelled as the Tyrannosaurus Rex came out of the trees. Muldoon slammed the gear shift, floored the accelerator, and the car sped off. The Rex chased after them." Ian turned around and said, "Must go faster."

The Rex was gaining speed and coming closer to the 3 in the jeep. "Shit! Shit! Shit!" Kim yelled. Ian was so scared as it got closer to the jeep that he moved his body over the stick shift of the car.

"Get of the stick! Bloody move!" Muldoon said.

"Look out!" Kim shouted.

There was a tree hanging low over the road. They ducked their heads. A hanging branch destroyed the windshield. The Rex ran through the tree and broke it. As he got closer to the car he tried to push it. One arm of Ian's went across to touch the dashboard as he tried to stay away from the Rex, Kim happened to have his arm against her neck lightly. In a sense, he was holding Kim back. She screamed.

The Rex lost speed as Muldoon accelerated. Kim sighed in relief.

"Think they'll have that on the tour?" Ian said. The Rex roared.

"Are you hearing this?" Christy said.

The Rex roared again. Ron walked with kids to a tree. This tree was large up and down and around. "Come on, Will. Let's, um, climb this tree," Ron said.

"Not another tree," Will said, whining. "I don't want to. I hate trees."

"They don't bother me," Christy said as she climbed up the tree.

"Oh, yeah, Christy? Well, you weren't in the last one," Will said. They climbed into an area that could have substituted for a nest.

"Hey. Those are brontosauruses. I mean, brachiosauruses," Will said, pointing to a heard about 100 to 300 feet away. The dinos were moaning.

"They're singing," Ron said. Sort of reminds me of Kim when we have sex, except she screams most of the time. Ron thought. Ron wondered if Kim was alright. He got onto a branch and imitated the moan of that particular species. One of the brachiosaur's heads came up.

"Dad! Shh, don't let the monsters come over here!" Christy said.

"They're not monsters, Christy. These are herbivores," Ron said.

"That mean they eat plants. But for you I think they'd make an exception!" Will said to Christy.

"William," Ron said, warningly.

"Oh, I hate the other kind," Christy said.

"The other kind," Ron said, he swung back around off the branch, around Christy and then sat down against the tree. "Just do what they do."

Christy and Will both sat down next to their father. It was late in the night. It had to be.

"Dad? What happens if the dinosaurs come back while we're all asleep?" Christy asked.

"Well, I'll stay awake then," Ron said.

"All night?"

"All night."
