*FANFIC* Kim Possible: The Big Arrivals Part 3*FANFIC*
Month 9. At 11:30 p.m. of the night of December 14th, Kim awoke to a great pain. She sat up and it took her about 10 seconds to realize; her water broke. She looked at the lump lying about a half a foot from her and shook it. "Ron! Ron!" Kim said. "Huh? What? You okay?" Ron said, sitting up. "My water broke," Kim said. Ron looked at Kim's green eyes, immediately jumped out of bed, set down a pair of luggage on a desk, and then ran back over to help her up. "What else? What else?" Ron said. Kim figured he was freaking. "Ron," Kim said gently. She grabbed his face and put both of her hands on either side of his face and brought his forehead to meet with her's. "Calm down. You've been through this before. You will not faint. You will not. Now, I want you to put some clothes on, wake the kids, and I will be right here. Just stay calm." Kim grabbed a maternity dress and put it over her nightgown and then put a pair of loafers on. Ron quickly buttoned a button down shirt on him and some shorts. Kim felt one contraction coming. "Oh!" Kim said. "Um, Ron, that was my first contraction in about 20 minutes." "Okay, okay, okay, let me see. I'll be right back," Ron said. He ran to Christy's room, opened the door, and shook her lightly to wake her up. "No, mom, I don't want any lima beans," Christy said. She opened her eyes and sat up drowsily. "Huh. Wait, you're dad. Not mom. And it's midnight. Five more minutes." She fell back onto her pillow. "No, no, get your brother up, get to the phone, mom is in labor, and I have to get her to the hospital," Ron said. Christy sat up. "Why does Will need to be awoken? Why waste his sleep?" Christy said. She walked off to the kitchen. Ron ran back to the bedroom. "Okay, come on, hospital we go, now," Ron said. "Ron, calm down, you're sweating bullets, all is well, I promise," Kim said. She had a look of pain as another wave of contraction came over her. "Hospital now," Ron said, he grabbed the luggage and walked them to the car. He went over to Christy and said, "Okay, call Grandma Possible, tell her to meet us at the hospital, call Faith also, and to bring the video camera." "Who is going to watch us?" Christy asked. "My mom?" Ron said. "Ron," Kim said, leaning against the door frame to the garage, trying to sound calm. "Your mother and father are in Florida." "Oh of course," Ron said. "Christy, just pick Jim or Tim! Choose one of the two, Ron, we have to go now!" Kim said. "Hello? Auntie Sara? This is Chirsty, I hate to all so late but can either you or Tim come over and stay? Mom and dad are on their way to the..." Christy said, her voice getting smaller as Kim got in to the car. "Ron, come on, let's go," Kim said teasingly. "I don't exactly want to have a baby in a car. And I doubt you'd be able to go through that." "Thanks, Kim, I'm even more nervous now!" Ron exclaimed. The hospital. Mrs. Dr. Possible met Ron and Kim at the front door. Faith was next to her playing tug of war with the video camera with Mr. Dr. Possible. Brian Benlove was rolling his eyes. "Okay, into the wheelchair, Kim. Let's get you to the delivery room. How far apart are the contractions," Mrs. Dr. Possible said. "About 8 minutes apart," Kim said. They drove her on the wheelchair to the delivery room. Mrs. Dr. Possible helped Kim into a large hospital gown. Ron grabbed a damp cloth and patted Kim's face. "You're dilated about 3 centimeters, so here we go. Brian, get Faith in here with the video camera. If my husband doesn't let her, tell him to remember the 50s," Mrs. Dr. Possible said. Outside the delivery room. "Give me the bloody camera!" Faith said. "Hang on, I am a judge. I have decided. Faith, take the camera, in there. Sorry, but Mrs. Possible refuses to let you in there. She said, 'Remember the 50s,'" Brian said. "But wait, Ron is in there?" Mr. Dr. Possible said. "Yeah, I know, I don't understand my wife, either. Or my daughter for that matter. Come on, join the club," Brian said. Both men sat down on the waiting room chairs. "Hee hoo hoo. Ah! Ron, hold my hand," Kim said. "Just go to your happy place," Ron said. "Ron, that won't help. Kind of how I got here. Oh here comes another one," Kim said. "Okay, get ready, Kimmie, Ron please stay calm, this one will make the head visible," Mrs. Possible said. "Alright, we are watching the births of Kimberly and Ronald Stoppable's 3rd and 4th children. We see the head. Crikey!" Faith said in a Steve Irwin-esqe style. Complete with crazy Australian accent. "Faith, I know you like Steve Irwin, but please, no commentary," Mrs. Possible said. "Ah!" Kim said. She look deep breaths in and out and help Ron's hand tight. "Okay, Kimmie, the head is out, just one more push Kim and the baby will be out." Kim let out a loud yell as she pushed a final time and the first half of the twins came to be. "It's a girl!" Mrs. Possible said over the baby's cry. She handed the messy baby to Kim, who whispered, "Hi." and Ron smiled goofily. "What is her name?" Mrs. Possible asked. "Mary Ruth Stoppable," Kim replied. A nearby nurse wrote down all the essentials and took the baby and the sheet to the nursery. "Okay, I think I feel the 2nd one. Oh!" Kim said. Kim gripped Ron's hand. 10 minutes later, Rufus Peter Stoppable entered the world. End of part 3 |
