Notes to The Big Arrivals
Morning, a pretty much sleepless night and a lot of tissues later, here we are with the notes. *20 pages handwritten, but it could be more because I wrote smaller in the eariler parts. It was 11 pages in Microsoft Works, Times New Roman, size 10 font. *4496 words *Took 2 hours and 53 minutes to type out. *The 26th fic in my KP fandom world. *The 21st fic in my KP fandom fanon continuity. *Directly connected to events in TDA and TBS *Part 2 or Chapter 2 of the "Big Baby Surprises" Trilogy. First being TBS, second TBA, and third will be the arrival of Ashley's baby. *TBA is another acronym for To Be Announced. *First time I've had 5 fics in a month. *The Lamaze coach named Rose Cheerneen is a jab at Golden Girls' Rose Nylund, who is from what some of the characters say on the show, Cheery in the morning. She is even called a Rose Nylund wannabe. *Kim: "Um, Rose, you have to excuse my daughter, she inherited some weird gene from her father which rendered her completely nosy,"-- This is playing with GG's Dorothy's line about Sophia to someone once, "You'll have to excuse my mother, she suffered a stroke a few years ago, which rendered her completely (or totally) annoying." Sophia, is in some respects, like a 60 years older Kim Possible. *Brian Benlove is a judge now. And he's in his 60s. Need help with associating him with someone? Think of Philip Banks from Fresh Prince of Bel Air; only white. Because his daughter Ashley has a "if Hillary was white" way to her. *Christy: "So, it's official, All fathers are insane. It was nice knowing you, Ian."-- LOL. Christy is sure that Ian will go the Ron and Mr. Possible route. That's nice. *Kim: "Ron, you're not going to! She is not a fragile baby. She's 14 years old! And besides you've seen me in action."-- Recognize this line? She said a similar line in KF. This also acknowledges the amount of time these fics take place in. Because of Christy's birthday, she's 14. So we've seen her as 12, 13, and 14. *Kim: "Ron, you were exposed to mystical monkey power, you have some sort of monkey power-- oh stop shuddering! It's not like I said Voldemort. Oh stop that!"-- That was one of my favorite lines. Ron was shuddering due to Kim speaking of a fictional character. LOL. This family is insane. *Kim: "Seriously? No,"-- This a jab at the character and episode of Motor Ed, in which Motor Ed who says Seriously exactly 20 times, says this to Kim. *Ron woke up to a nightmare. I can already tell you that this was a nightmare about Kim. In the planning phase I thought about going into the dream and when Christy finally came in, I was to have her speak of how your subconcious is like your best friend and worst enemy. I had recently gave an explaination like that to a friend, but I ditched it, as much as it would have made her smart, nah. *Christy: "Listening to the Backstreet Boys? Now this is Old School!"-- I wonder which CD. That's a nice nod to my obsession for a long time. Of course the Oh Boyz were based off them and the Nsync dudes. *The tape that first was stuck in was based on information, "its dated the Easter Sunday, 4 years before," it was recorded on the night of the end of TLB. Poor Christy. *Christy was born June 15th, I had to figure that and the entire family's birthdates in order to work with the entire timeline of that family. Will's birthday is September 20th, and he is 2 years, 3 months, and 5 days younger than Christy. *The name choosing scene... nice scene. *Christina's full name means Christ-bearer Consecrated to God. *Xena is a real name though I believe. Ron really likes Xena. LOL. *Ron: "Like your greatest grandmother?"-- A nod to the Virgin Mary and then acknowledging KPD. *Ron: "Katharine and all its variants are beautiful names, yes, but, with those 2 names combine it means 'Bitter Virgin', do you want her to be a nun?"--Kathryn, Kate, Katie, all of those all mean "Pure, Virgin" *Ron: "Well, yes, sort of, that and the 13th Apostle,"-- naming the kid Rufus is a nod to Dogma, in which Rufus tells Bethany to name the kid Rufus. It's their homage to him after all those years. :) *Christy will be 32 by the time when Mary Ruth and Rufus Peter graduate. By then she'd be married. *I think Kim's chuckle back in TBS that it could be twins was foreshadowing that they'd be twins. Being that I spent from the time KPJP was being typed up to know musing on this, I toyed with many ideas and I have made up my mind. *Jim and Tim's first showing since... KPD? or AHBT. Possibly. *Ron: "It was a llama, a deer, a bunny, and a naked mole rat,"-- This is just a joke. Llama in reference to Emperor's New Groove, i guess. LOL. *Based on the twins' due dates that would mean that March 15th ish is the day they were concieved, which is when KPJP was, making it that KPJP was, indeed, 20 years exactly from KPD. *Destiny Hope... that is a nod to APB's original middle name in my HP world (which is still yet to be created), and her sister Serena's middle name of Hope. *Yeah, Kim and Ron gonna use birth control from now on. Let's see how long that'll work? IT'S NOT GONNA WORK! LOL. *Kim and Narrative: "Ron," She grabbed his face and put both of her hands on either side of his face and brought his forehead to meet with her's. "Calm down. You've been through this before. You will not faint. You will not. Now, I want you to put some clothes on, wake the kids, and I will be right here. Just stay calm."-- That's sweet. *Christy: "No, mom, I don't want any lima beans, Huh. Wait, you're dad. Not mom. And it's midnight. Five more minutes."-- We all have our bright moments while being awoke. She's been speaking in her sleep. *Mrs. Dr. P: "Remember the 50s"-- This is a laugh at the 1950s in which, the father was not allowed to be in the delivery room. *Brian and Mr. P don't understand their wives or daughters... prolly not even granddaughters. *Faith and Narrative: "Alright, we are watching the births of Kimberly and Ronald Stoppable's 3rd and 4th children. We see the head. Crikey!" Faith said in a Steve Irwin-esqe style. Complete with crazy Australian accent.-- A nod towards my mother. My mom likes watching Steve Irwin... although it's me who tries to imitate him. *Mary Ruth's height and weight at birth; 7 pounds, 9 ounces, 20 inches long is a little bit of sticking info about me into the fic. That was my height and weight at birth. *Rufus Peter's was more or less random numbers. It might be possible that one of my cousin's weighed that at birth. *Kim is in room 108. Because I didn't put my time of birth into the fic I stuck it as a number. I was born at 1:08 pm. *Tim: "Oh, come on, Mom! You should be more worried if Jim was with me. But he's not!"-- Yeah, it's no fun with one twin. *Christy: "Aww! They're so cute and... wrinkly and pink!"-- How nice of Christy. *Ashley is hilarious |
