*FANFIC* Kim Possible's Harry Potter: Chapter 15*FANFIC*
When June arrived, so did the O.W.L. examinations. Kim, Ron, and all the other fifth years went through it well. Although the night of the Astronomy exam, Professor McGonagall was injured when she tried to stop several Aurors and Professor Umbridge from taking Hagrid. She had four Stunners to the chest and at her age too. But on the last day of the O.W.L.s, Harry had a horrible dream towards the end of the History of Magic exam. Hermione and Ron found him after it, while Kim and Ron went to find Ginny. "...IF HE KNEW WHAT I'D JUST--" Harry had been yelling when the classroom door they were in opened and Ginny, Kim, and Ron came in followed by Luna Lovegood, who seemed as though she drifted into the room by accident. "Hi," Ginny said uncertainly. "We recognized Harry's voice-- what are you yelling about?" "Never you mind," Harry said roughly. Ginny raised her eyebrows. "There's no need to take that tone with me," she said coolly. "I was only wondering whether I could help." "Well you can't," Harry said shortly. Luna voiced what Kim was thinking. "You're being rather rude, you know," Luna said. "Wait, wait. Harry, they can help," Hermione said. "Listen we need to establish whether Sirius really has left headquarters--" "I told you, I saw--" "Harry, I'm begging you, please!" Hermione said. "Please let's just check that Sirius isn't at home before we go charging off to London-- if we find out he's not there then I swear I won't try and stop you, I'll come, I'll do whatever it takes to try and save him--" "Sirius is being tortured NOW!" Harry shouted. "We haven't got time to waste--" "But if this is a trick of Voldemort's-- Harry, we've got to check, we've got to--" "How?" Harry demanded. "How're we going to check?" "Let me see if my Kimmunicator will give us any help," Kim said. She pulled it from her robe and pressed buttons. It was staticy and did not work. She swore under her breath. "Please need new batteries! Damn! Anyone got a Plan B?" Kim said desperately as she stuck it back into her pocket and looked furious. "Umbridge's fire in her office," Hermione said. "But we have to draw her away," Kim said. "That's where you, Ron, Ginny and Luna will come in. Lookouts," Hermione said. "Okay, if you can think of a way of doing this quickly, I'm with you otherwise, I'm going to the Department of Mysteries right now," Harry said. "Right... well... one of use has to go and find Umbridge and send her off in the wrong direction." "I'll do it," Ron W said. "I'll tell her Peeves is smashing up the Transfiguration department..." "Okay," Hermione said. "Now we need to keep students away from her office while we force entry, or some Slytherin's bound to go and tip her off..." "Ginny and I will be at one end of the corridor, American Ron and Luna at the other end," Kim said. "We'll warn people not to go down there because someone's let off a load of Garroting Gas," Ginny said. "Fred and George were planning on doing it before they left." "Harry and I will be under the Invisibility Cloak and sneak in, check whether Sirius is at home or not. And I'll stand watch," Hermione said. A few minutes later they were rejoined by Harry who had gotten the cloak. Everyone went to go do their jobs. Harry failed to find Sirius and was caught by Umbridge and after some commotion from outside, several large Slytherins came in, each of them gripping both Rons, Ginny, Luna, and to Harry's bewilderment-- Neville. Harry was surprised that Kim was being gripped by two Slytherins and seemed to be putting up a good struggle. End of Chapter 15 |
