*FANFIC* Kim Possible: The Brain Switch Incident Part 3*FANFIC*
The next day at Bueno Nacho. "First full day back in our bodies," Kim said. "I have to say, when I got back home, Ashley contacted me again." "Field day?" Ron asked. "Yes! She laughed up a storm! She said something about blackmail and her leverage over me," Kim said. She sighed. "We sure learned something," Ron said. "Supergirl undies!" "You're never going to let me forget about that are you?" Kim said. "It depends," Ron said. "Um, about that shower thing..." "Lower your voice, Ron," Kim said. "All right," Ron said. "You didn't mention that to her did you?" "No!" Kim said. "It's not any of her business. But are we agreed to keep it a complete and total secret as friends?" "Swear to secrecy?" Ron asked. "Okay," Kim said. She held out her pinky, Ron did the same. They linked pinkies and said, "Total secret as friends." "We don't have to do a blood oath or anything? Do we?" Ron said. "Where would you get that idea, Ron?" Kim said. "Dunno," Ron said. "Can I ask you something?" "Go ahead," Kim said. "What was the sensitivity training that you gave to the D Hall guys?" Ron asked. "It's no big, like I said. Think of it as... my way of saying thank you for 12 years of friendship and going through this with me," Kim said. Ron smiled. "Seriously. What did you do?" Ron said. "Not telling, Ron," Kim said. "Okay, then," Ron said. "Oh, that reminds me!" Kim said. She pulled something from her pocket. "I found this in my room." It was a photograph of Kim and Ron at five, maybe 6 years old in a sandbox together. "Oh," Ron said softly. "You're not going to cry on me are you?" Kim said. "No, but it's so sweet!" Ron said. "We were so cute then! And little! And innocent," Kim said. "Innocent? Yeah. We got away with a lot of ideas concocted by you," Ron said. Kim chuckled. Kim shook her head. "Hmm. I just had this thought. It came from remembering a sermon at church I once heard. The priest said that parent's children are like on loan from God." Kim rolled her eyes. "And, for those short two days, our respective bodies were being borrowed by the other." Ron laughed. "I guess one could see it like that," Ron said. "You know what?" "What?" "I'm glad I switched bodies with you. Of all the people in the world, I'm glad it was you. How many people get to say that they literally spent a day in their best friend's shoes?" Kim said. "I got the chance to know you better than I've known you before. And I think it's improved our friendship one thousand times better." Fin. |
