*FANFIC* Kim Possible: Asian Tsunami Part 2*FANFIC*
9:12 a.m. on February 21, 2005

Several hours later. "We're about to land in Sri Lanka," the General said.

Kim and Ron looked out the window of the plane. Overhead it looked bad. Kim was floored by the damage; everything was leveled... gone.

Kim looked out the window in silence as the plane landed. Kim sighed and slowly got up. When the door opened, she walked out with Ron. "Oh my gosh..." Ron said. "When you look at it up close without the aid of the TV or media..."

"It's horrible," Kim said softly. She pulled out her sunglasses and put them on. Kim followed the General and the members of the Red Cross to a tented area.

"Miss Possible? We're currently in the midst of rescue efforts and clearing of debris. Here is a face covering for you and your friend. We're sorry that you have to see some of--" an elder man in a white coat with the Red Cross logo on it said.

Kim interrupted him. "Sir, please do not make a reference to my being a girl and how we're supposedly squeamish and girly. I find that insinuation to be an insult. As disturbing as this is, I believe I will be able to handle it," Kim said. She pulled her sunglasses down and looked at him.

"I'm sorry, ma'am."

"It's no big, sir. Let's get this started." She put on the face covering and handed the other to Ron. The man handed her a dozen or so body bags and some antibacterial soap; which she put in her backpack.

Kim and Ron started to walk. "Kim, I, uh, don't know if you noticed... but, that tent behind the other tent had bodies in them," Ron said softly.

"I saw."

They walked about a couple of thousand feet or so inland. "Okay, here is a good spot to stop and start," Kim said. "See, there's a few Buddhist monks over there doing this as well."

"How can you tell?" Ron asked.

"Ron, this area of Asia has three main religions; Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism," Kim said. "And plus, look at what he is wearing."

The Buddhist monks came over to them. Kim put her hands up and together and then bowed. Ron followed her lead. "Kim Possible?" he said with a heavy accent. "Let us help you remove this wall of this building."

"Thank you," Kim said.

They grabbed the wall and picked it up moving it to one side.

What was underneath disturbed Kim. The bodies of a mother and her children, apparently drowned in their home. They never had a change. Kim was thankful she had on a pair of dark sunglasses on because her eyes felt hot.

Kim pulled out several body bags, and then did the sign of the cross. Kim gulped. The monks seemed to start praying. Kim unzipped the first one. "Ron, come on," she said softly. She took the shoulders of the woman; Ron the legs, and gently put her into the body bag.

Kim saw that the monks were putting the larger children into the body bags. The children looked to be about 3, 8, and 12. Kim gently picked up the smallest and set her into the bag with her mother.

When they finished one of the monks said, "Leave bags here. Red Cross will collect them later. Buddha protect them."

"You're Buddhist?" Kim asked.

"Yes, but this family was Hindi."

"How can you tell."

"This was a Hindi neighborhood."

Kim nodded.

"You are Catholic. I saw you do the sign of the cross."

"Yes, sir. Can we keep on moving? We have a lot of ground to cover."

"Yes."

They walked on.

They found the body of a woman that had been in a tree that was crushed by the waves. She looked to be a tourist. There was a a waist pack around her waist. Kim opened it and found her passport. "Ellie James, Scotland," she read.

"Red Cross'll have to contact her family," Ron said.

"Bless them," Kim said.

One of the monks went to get a Red Cross member. The member took her personal effects to contact her family.

Kim sighed. Kim and Ron took a deep breath and carried the woman into the body bag.

Kim sighed, when they finished Kim pulled out the antibacterial, and washed her gloves. She then pulled off one glove and her glasses. She wiped her eyes gently and then put the glasses on again.

Kim and Ron spent five days there and then headed to Thailand. During that time they spent removing debris and finding some survivors.

The first night in Thailand was spent in a Buddhist monastery. They were dressed for the occasion, considering it was New Years' Day Night. "This is a beautiful place," Kim said as she and Ron walked next to a monk to dinner. "I just wish I was here on better terms."

"Buddha does things for mysterious reasons."

"Yes, he does," Kim said.

"Kim, I really like this outfit. I feel free," Ron said.

"The outfit," the monk named Wong said. "Eventually does do that.

"Thank you for hosting us, Wong," Kim said.

"Well, dear, this is just like how everybody band together for relief efforts," he said.

Kim nodded.

They walked into the dining room. They sat down and had a Thai dinner. Kim ate in silence. She was amazed at how so many monks survived. Of course, most monasteries were inland or very high up.

When dinner was over, she and Ron went to their room. Kim grabbed her pjs from her bag. "Por favor, Ron, look away," Kim said. She saw that he had closed his eyes already and turned away. She changed.

"I'm going to have to keep this. This fabric is beautiful," Kim said. She sighed.

"You okay?" Ron said.

"Ron, I've been trying to be strong though this but..." Kim said.

"When you see some of the things we've seen it cannot help but affect someone," Ron said.

"Yes, it's hard to keep my emotions inside," Kim said.

"You've had trouble looking at me the past few days, and I know it upset you."

"Yes, it's exactly the reason I've refused to be interviewed by tv networks of our home country. I can't hide my eyes in an interview, you know? i would end up crying because..."

"I know. You're a very compassionate person, especially about the world."

"Yes!" Kim said. "I just wish we could help longer. School is back in session in a few days. And I would love to go to help all the countries. I'm going to sleep. I plan to help a lot tomorrow."
