*FANFIC* Kim Possible: Papal Funeral*FANFIC*
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the chars in this fic. Nope. Have fun reading. April 5th, 2005. Kim Possible's Kimmunicator beeped. She and Ron Stoppable were sitting at Bueno Nacho. Kim turned it on. "Yes, Wade?" Kim asked. "I have an incoming message from the Vatican for you," Wade said. "Okay, put them through." "Done." The carmelengo of the Vatican came onto the screen. "Signora Possible!" he said. "Hello, sir," Kim said politely. "As you know, the Holy Father recently passed. His funeral will be on April 8th." "Okay." "I would hope to see you and your partner there. I am inviting you as an ambassador. Seeing as you once helped us." "My partner and I will be... er, happy to come," Kim said. "Thank you. See you there, Signora." The Kimmunicator then went back to Wade. "Wade, can we have a ride set for the funeral? At least a day in advance." "Alright, got it." "Thanks." "A Papal funeral," Ron said. "It's like the funeral of a Queen or a Headmaster." "Headmaster?" Kim asked curiously. "Uh, can't explain what comes into my head, K.P.," Ron said. "You know me." "Yeah, I do. Which reminds me, I understand that Prince Charles is going." "I know you don't like him. Which one caused the death of Princess Di." "Ron. The driver did. Unless, Camilla is evil like that," Kim said. "But, if we're going, we be eloquent." "I know." The next day. Kim and Ron looked through her closet. "Ron, what should I wear?" Kim asked. "To the funeral I mean." "Black?" Ron said. "Without showing belly and cleavage." "I knew that." Kim went into her closet and Ron sat down on her bed. "Watch, Ron, the goshdarned reporters are going to try and get an interview with me. They tried to do it back in December." She came out wearing a black dress. "That looks like your little black dress." "No, this a conservative style. See? It hems at my calf." "Okay." On the 7th, Kim and Ron headed to the Vatican. "My mother is going to record it," Kim said. "Is the perky one herself going?" "I beg your pardon?" "Katie Couric." "I don't know." They walked towards the church on the 8th. "Miss Possible!" said reporters as Kim and Ron walked past them. "Why are you here?" "To pay my respects," Kim said quickly as they went passed them. When they met the carmelengo, he ushered them into a pew. "Thank you, sir," Kim said. She and Ron sat down. Ron sighed. "There's the Catholic symbol," he whispered. "Still creepy?" Kim asked him. "I prefer the Star of David." Ron turned around. "Ron!" Kim whispered. But he had already turned around. "Kim, Prince Charles is behind us!" Ron whispered in her ear. "Big ears and all." "Oh look who's talking." Kim whispered venomously. "What?" "Nothing." Then the funeral started. The mass was lovely. Kim sniffled and tears fell. "And to think we had the honor of meeting him a few years ago," Kim whispered. "Any ideas what's going on?" "A little bit," Kim said sniffling. She pulled out her tissue and gently wiped her eyes. Ron patted her shoulder gently. At the end of the funeral, they filed out quietly. A couple of minutes later, they were tracked down by reporters. "Miss Possible," Ann Curry said. "Will you grant us an interview." Kim sighed. "Fine." Ten minutes later, they were sitting in a room. "Kim Possible was kind enough to grant us an interview. She was seen with her partner exiting the funeral of His Holy Father," Ann Curry said. "Oy. These reporters are like Lucy and Ethel," Ron whispered in Kim's ear. Kim grinned. "So, why are you here?" "To pay my respects to His Holiness," Kim said. "You came because...?" "Well, because I am also a diplomat in addition to saving the world from certain destruction from time to time." "Have you ever met the Holy Father?" "Yes, I met him once a few years ago. I had to do a mission for him. He was a lovely man." "Do you have any hopes for the next Pope?" "It's impossible to get a replacement for Pope John Paul, because with his wisdom and understanding, it would be trying to replace Yoda from Star Wars or Albus Dumbledore from Harry Potter. I just hope the next one is a great man." "Here, here," Ron said. "I agree," Ann Curry said. "I understand that you sat in front of Prince Charles of England." "Yes," Kim said slowly. She shared a confused look with Ron. "How do you feel about his marriage about to take place with Camilla Parker-Bowles?" "I... er, personally, don't see what this has to do with The Pope." "I'm just curious." "No comment." The End. |
