adversity, fanfics, Dogma, Xena, Halloween!!!

Trick or treat, readers! Happy Halloween! How are you all today? I am doing pretty good.

Before classes, I went to the registrar to send my transcript and SAT scores to Schreiner and then to the library to drop of Mythology and this other book.

Bible. We listened to a story that she had from mid 1988 in which she heard the voice of God (whether it was Metatron or not, I'm not sure, however, like Bethany she heard the voice of God in her bedroom). I liked the story. I hope one day to hear the voice of God myself.

Physics. We went over this worksheet and then me and Tassie did another worksheet on the bowling ball lab from a couple of days ago.

Economics. We had to do some elasticity thingy. It was okay.

Psych. Vocabulary for chapter 10 and a crossword related to H'Ween.

English. The Test on the Greek Theatre, Oedipus, and Antigone. Considering I studied at the most a total of like 10 minutes, I think I did pretty damn good. Afterwards, I went to the Library to go get Beowulf. We also turned in Memory books that we had to get. I don't know why we need them.

I have some good news. I got the acceptance letter today for Texas Wesleyan University. While that fulfills half of number 12 on my list of things to accomplish before I die. It doesn't count until I go to college. Anyways, I was so happy with myself. It's awesome.

There's a Xena Marathon on Oxygen! I've been watching it since 5. I just so happened to catch the final 2 episodes. Which I saw during the summer of the 2 crossovers. LOL. I love Xena so much.

I decided yesterday I would discuss adversity in the diary. I noticed that many of my favorite things had to deal with some sort of adversity before hitting it big. For example, back in 1974 ish when Lucas was trying to get studios to take Star Wars, nobody would take it, because they were stupid. A huge example would be Mr. Kevin Smith. My homeboy Silent Bob, the budget for Clerks was like less than 30,000 dollars. Can you imagine if that movie failed in the box office? Well for one thing there would be no Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, or Dogma. He also had to deal with a lot of shit with Dogma, but that movie still made 30 mil in the box office. Another one would have to be Jo... yes Rowling. Several publishers wouldn't take Harry Potter, including Penguin. Can you just imagine them now? I bet you they are kicking themselves in their asses now. And not only that, but she was on welfare, a divorcee, a single mother, and she, like Smith got a lot of shit with the psycho religious groups because of the content of her books. I can't really think of any other good examples, but I think these are like the three best examples.

How odd, it sounds like it's going to rain tonight. Alas, figures.

Codi and Dustin were here last night. Dustin slept in the truck the entire time and Codi and I watched the Villain files. Codi is going to be a princess bride. Can you say so unoriginal? Poor little 8 year old.

This morning I read the 6th or 7th fic in the College series by the Linear Ranger guy who runs the Team Possible site. It's really fun. About H'Ween with some new series P'Ranger references. It showed me some surprises, that I never expected. One being: Brick and Monique as an item. It's different, but it's Monique and she can get away with something like that. Plus, she fucking rocks.

After my cousins left, I went to watch Dogma again. I swear to God, The Almighty (whether God be a Him or Her) that I cannot get enough of this movie. This is the only movie in my top five list that I can watch over and over and over again. I think it's because of the fact that one of my best fanfics was KPD. I enjoy sitting through that movie. And part of me wonders what would KPD be like if I redid it again to be KPD the 3rd remix. But, I highly doubt I could do that. Maybe in the 2nd year anniversary since it. But... I dunno. The movie has a wonderful story and a great message. Beliefs, faith, ideas. It's just beautiful.

I'm still wondering what shall be the fic that starts of November. I mean, I've been thinking of a Breakfast Club esqe fic, but come on! There's a bunch of stuff that I would not do in a KP fic. For example the scene where all of the characters, excluding Ally Sheedy's char, smoke Bender's dope. LOL. And then Claire's line about that whole thing about whether or not the group would be friends on monday. LOL. I think it would be fun to do like a parody ish on it. I mean, a Bender type guy, a Brian type guy, a Allsion girl, Kim as a better Claire, and then maybe just maybe Brick Flagg as an Andy. It would fun. I might try to get a few other fics before doing that. Another fic that I've been thinking about has been the possible GG/KP crossover. I mean, mind you, there are 10 to 20 years between both shows. 1985, 2002 1992, 2005. But, it would be fun. I would prolly enjoy myself.

That reminds me. My KP stuff is all near stuff that I also like and some are next to stuff that was a subject of a major fanfic of mine. For example, my KP books are in between Jo and Mitchell (Harry Potter and Gone With the Wind, KPHP and KLA). The VHS of KP are next to the Herc and Xena movie and TLK (KPAX). DVDs. There are 3 columns of dvds, the kp and L&S dvds are in the middle. The Secret Files is above L&S2 (KPAL), next to both episode 2 of Star Wars and The Incredibles. (SW referenced a lot). ASIT is next to both Terminator (referenced alot) and Mulan. Villian files is next to the Phil DVD (crossovers of the Secrets kind) and the Breaky Club (possible), and then STD is next to rightly, Dogma (KPD) and Golden Girls.

Anyways, I have to go as it is raining and lightning.
