time travel, bandaids, and stuff
2:45 p.m. on March 16, 2006

Good afternoon, my readers! How are you all doing? I'm doing pretty good.

My burn is doing okay. I mean, it's still typical right now. But, I haven't worn a bandaid in a few days. But then again, my skin tends to react oddly to bandaid adhesive. It gets irritated around that area. Can you believe it? I'm allergic to bandaid adhesive! I mean, that's okay, but you know, it made me realize that that was prolly the reason why for many years I hardly ever wore bandaids on stuff I needed to wear bandaids on, and hated to even do so.

So, last night, I watched The Incredibles. This time, regularly; last time I watched it with commentary. It was so nice. I love that movie. It's a good movie. I mean, it's kind of funny that Bob and Helen have the same hair as Ron and Kim. I wonder if that was intentional or just a coincidence. I like how the Incredibles and Spy Kids seem to be reminscent of how the Stoppable kids are within my KPD fanon continuity. I really love how Bob shows his wife how much he loves her when he yells that he's not strong enough to lose her again. It's so beautiful. "No matter how many times you save the world, it always manages to get back in jeopardy again. Sometimes I just want it to stay saved! You know, for a little bit? I feel like the maid; I just cleaned up this mess! Can we keep it clean for... for ten minutes!" LOL. What a funny line. I love Violet and Dash. Especially on the plane:
Violet: [both Violet and Dash are speaking simultaneously] It's not my fault! Dash ran away and I knew I'd get blamed for it and I thought he'd try to sneak on the plane so I came in, you closed the doors so I couldn't find him and it's not my fault!
Dash: THAT'S NOT TRUE! You said, "Something's up with Mom, we have to find out what!" It was YOUR idea, YOUR idea, 100 percent, all yours, all the time IDEA!"
Helen: Wait a minute! You left Jack-Jack ALONE?
Violet: [both start speaking simultaneously again] Yes Mom, I'm completely stupid OF COURSE we got a sitter do you think I'm totally irresponsible thanks a lot!
Dash: No, we got someone Mom! Somebody great! We wouldn't do that!
And I love how great a villain Jason Lee plays. He was great as Azrael in Dogma, and Syndrome in this movie!

After the movie, I watched The Terminator, because it's such a fun movie. It's fucking scary, it's got Sarah Connor in it, and if you zoom at a certain part you can see some of Arnold's... ahem... manly parts. I love how awesome the movie is. Especially with the parts with Ginger and Matt. LOL. He's doing Ginger and she's listening to music the entire time, what the fuck? LOL. And then afterwards, he's lying down and she goes to the kitchen to get like a sandwich and milk... which she never eats, because she dies. "Listen. And understand. That terminator is out there. It can't be bargained with. It can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead."-- Kyle. It's such a great line. It really hits you. I mean, it's a shame this movie was made in the 80s, if had been made 20 years later, this movie would have had brilliant special effects. I mean, the special effects in the movie were pretty darn good, considering it was 1984. In Sarah's final monologue she says: "And maybe it'll be enough if you know that in the few hours we had together we loved a lifetime's worth."-- LOL. You notice that she actually hesitates before she says hours. LOL. I had to laugh at a certain scene towards the end. The Terminator gets ran over by an 18 wheeler, and afterwards, he walks with a LIMP! LOL! And, during the sex scene between Kyle and Sarah, I was like, "Kim and Ron, pretend they're Kim and Ron." LOL. Funny.

The Terminator also made me realize something else... that time traveling is a great story and is essential to any writer. I mean, Jo Rowling did it in the fianl chapters of Prisoner of Azkaban, the guys at KP did it for ASIT, I did it with KPAX, and will do it again with David for the Shakespeare, and Phil of the Future has the basic theme of time travel. Plus, time travel kicks butt!

Earlier, I skimmed through the ROTS novelization and the Book 5 clues book. It's pretty cool. I dunno what else to say about that. :)

I caught an episode of Xena this morning that had to do with Helen of Troy and all of that jazz. What a fun episode.

I've noticed that within most fanfics (and even actual novels) that I've read (and written), that the author(s) will reference to things that they like. For example, in Shego Rocks!, David referenced to a lot of classical music (Chopin right?). And then there's me. I tend to reference to the things I like within my own like insane. Like Harry Potter, The Golden Girls, Star Wars, Backstreet Boys, and others. I think that's what makes it mean more. ;)

I've noticed that as I've grown older, I have more older friends. I mean, most of my friends are not really my age. I mean I have a handful of friends who are my age, but I have a bunch of friends that are decades older than me. Like, DCA for example. ;)

I decided to watch Attack of the Clones earlier (actually I finished about 2 pm). It's a great movie, but I think it's close to losing it's top 3 spot on my all time favorite movies list. I mean, it's a great movie, but Revenge of the Sith is so much more greater. I mean, the movie is fun. What with Yoda, Obi Wan, and Padme, and whatnot. But, I dunno.
