*FANFIC* Kim Possible: Sad Labor Day*FANFIC*
Disclaimer: All of the chars in this fic, excluding APB aren't mine. Disney owns them. Think of this fic as kind of a way to mourn Steve Irwin in the best way most of us know how to mourn. Happy Reading. Labor Day, 2006. Early morning. Kim Possible, Ron Stoppable, and Ashley Possible-Benlove were in Bueno Nacho having breakfast. Ashley was eating tacquitos and orange juice, Kim was eating spicy waffles and apple juice, and Ron was eating breakfast nacos and milk. The redhead was reading online news reports on her Kimmunicator. Ron was eating and Ashley was off in her own land, thinking. "You know, we ought to the beach today," Ashley said. "I would have so much fun!" "So, Kim, what's up in the world?" Ron said. "Let's see. Labor Day weekend, Iraq War stuff, wildfires... uh, oh," Kim said. There was a short pause as Kim read an article and didn't even speak. "Kim?" Ashley said. "What's up?" Kim's green eyes were wide open in shock. "Steve Irwin died last night," Kim said. Both Ashley and Ron stared at her and said, "What?!" "Yeah... uh, here... here's the article. It's on here," Kim said and handed the Kimmunicator to Ron and Ashley from across from her. Both Ashley and Ron read the article and Ashley looked sad. "You guys met him earlier this year, didn't you?" Ashley asked. She looked at Kim, who was teary eyed. "Yeah, we relocated a crocodile with him and he named it after me. Wow. I can't believe that," Kim said. Kim closed her eyes. "Kim, are you okay?" Ron asked. He looked at Kim, who was looking away, and at Ashley, who was clutching her chest looking at her orange juice. Ron sighed. "Let it out, girls," he said. Kim opened her eyes and wiped them. "Poor Terri, Bindi, and Bob," Kim said her voice cracked. Ashley was sobbing softly into her shirt. "That's not fair, he's such a good person!" Ashley said. She turned to Ron on her left and hugged him. Kim wiped her eyes gently and said, "He was a good man, and the good die young." Ashley sighed. "As Yoda said in Revenge of the Sith, 'Death is a natural part of life. Rejoice for those who transform into the Force. Mourn them not. Miss them not,'" Ron said. "Something like that." "Is there anything about a memorial service or a funeral?" Ashley asked. "Ashley, it happened last night!" Kim said. "I wonder how Animal Planet is going to react? I mean, he was their ratings monster. It would be like something happening to Raven of That's So Raven for Disney Channel." "Mind you, it'll probably take a while before they update their stuff. You know?" Kim said. "Yeah, I guess so. Can we get out of here? I want to mourn out of public." "Yeah, I hear ya. I don't like crying in front of people. It's not me." "You know you're going to have to do some type of... like, condolences or something, right? I mean, you're a world diplomat," Ashley said. "Technically, I am not. I'm just someone who cares about the world. But as soon as we get back home I'll ask Wade to post something onto the website." "That's good," Ron said. "Let's go home now," Ashley said. "So, we can mourn him." The End. |
