Harry Potter is freakin' awesome!!!!!!
Hey readers! How are you all? I'm doing pretty good today. So, I enforced my "watch KP everyday thing" policy by watching Oh No! Yono! yesterday. I'll watch a random episode later today. So, I caught Elektra the movie last night with Jen Garner. It was okay. But, of course, anything I watched was overshadowed by going to go see Order of the Phoenix. Now, seeing this movie was a very interesting experience. I first read the book over a four day period between June 20 (21?) and the 25th of 2003, approximately 2 months before I found KP. Now, I had been reading the books for more than 2 years before this date, but, I believe that this book was the moment when it really stuck for me. I am a Harry Potter fan. I am proud of it. And I love the books. And watching this movie, Order of the Phoenix was awesome. This is one of my favorite books of the entire series. The disappointment for me was the shortness of the movie at 138 minutes, I was afraid of how they would try to get nearly 900 pages of book into the movie. I mean, Gone With the Wind is 100 plus more pages and that movie was almost four hours in length. But, they actually did it well. I mean, I literally jumped several times during the movie. It was loud, it was right in your face, and it was fun. I loved Luna Lovegood. Did anyone notice that great big picture of Fudge and how it looked like the man who is closest to Voldemort in our world? AKA Hitler. The moment I saw that picture I was like, "HITLER" to me mum. I loved how it mostly stayed to the book, with a few little differences. I'm really one of these, book to movie purists. I mean, where was Susan Bones and Amelia Bones? Sirius didn't give Harry the photo, Moody showed him the photo. Phineas had like a short scene in the movie and I loved him. I can't figure out why. I loved how the Thestrals looked like dinosaurs... in a way. I literally yelled out "bitch" when it turned out to be Cho who told Umbridge. It's funny. After like... years since the book came out, I still hate Umbridge so much. I wanted to do her bodily harm. I wish Snape's Worst Memory was a little longer, mainly to see the Mauraders as teens. But, 900 pages, 2 hours... what can you do. The movie left me very satisfied though I think it's finally hit me that Deathly Hallows is COMING. Like a game of hide-and-seek, it's coming whether I'm ready or not. (I think I said the same thing about So The Drama two years ago). The movie was great. I do realize one thing. I have very hostile feelings about those who see the movies and don't read the books. I don't think it's possible to be fans of the series without watching the book. But, at least it's nice to see the movie. Now I've got a year and a half until HBP. And some 3 years before the Deathly Hallows movie. Now, I've got to deal with Deathly Hallows and that's hard. I'm not ready. But, I've got to be. So, the final episode of KP has a name, Graduation. And, it's almost done. It's kind of scary. I'm like... ahh! No... I'm sad. And I still don't know when we're going to Schlitterbahn. I'm rather irritated that no one has decided on a date and I'm this close to losing interest in going.
