Harry Potter, the KP donation stuff, and Christianity
2:22 p.m. on July 17, 2007

Hey, readers! How are you? I'm all right.

Yesterday was Half Blood Prince's 2nd anniversary. Good book, I'm reading through it. My mom's reading through Goblet of Fire. LOL.

So, can you believe the last book of Harry Potter is like days away? I'm crazy excited and sad for it. I mean, I recently had a dream that Katie Childs appeared in where I was sliding down a neverending slide whilst holding the Deathly Hallows book, which I think means, that the journey of my Harry Potter love, that is because of Katie (as she made me read book one), is about to end. Crazy. I still remember hating the series for no apparent reason (and now I will defend Harry Potter to any jerks who hate it). I still VIVIDLY remember sitting in 7th grade Theatre class and Vanessa turning around to tell me about the book she was reading (which was Sorcerer's Stone) and her saying, "There's a chapter in here called 'Quidditch.'" I remember thinking she was insane. Or something to that effect. That was something like 6 and a half years ago. But, I was introduced to the book series and now, here I am today.

So, the season finale of LP, BW was fun. Haha. Two good episodes. I also decided to send off a donation to Matt Roloff's charity Coalition for Dwarf Advocacy, which I'll send off via the mail as soon as I get to the mailbox. I do love Little People, Big World. The episodes included such good stuff.

So, I guess, I should tell you about what Grandpa RD is planning for the end of the Kim Possible series. He's going to be giving out posters and other KP goodies to various people from Steve Loter. And he decided that in honor of Kim Possible and her fans of RS.net, we're doing a right now, unnamed project/fund in which we're donating money to the Children's Hospital of Orange County, where my favorite KP writer, Brian Swenlin's niece Sammy went for treatment for the cancer she's got. She's still got it but she's doing okay. Anyways, Nabusan and I are the Co-Chairpersons of the thing. And it's really great, because so far, we've raised just over 500 dollars! I've yet to donate, but I'll probably donate upwards of 25 dollars or more. And, 500 dollars was our first goal, now, we're hoping for 1000. And, I had no idea we would get that far in a few days. But, damn, it feels so good to apart of this. I mean, I just wanna cry when children are sick with cancer and whatnot. We're donating the money under the name of KP and her fans at RS.net. Now, you are perfectly welcome to donate here so long as you join the RonStoppable.net Message Board. Let them know ABL sent you. :D Come on, help save a child's life in the name of Kim Possible. And Grandpa RD have had various phone conversations about the whole thing, including on the decision to make in-board (I wanted it so, so he agreed and we're doing it in-board) and other things. The fund-raising is probably going to go through the end of the series, which I'm assuming is September.

And I caught some really good Scrubs episode. One from the Janitor's point of view and the rabies thing with Nicole Sullivan's recurring character. I nearly cried with that episode. I'm nearly done with season 4!

And, yeah, so, you guys heard about how the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles has agreed to pay a total of 660 million dollars to 500 victims of sexual abuse by the priests and clergy. See the article here. I get so angry and upset about that. Why is that happening? Please explain to me that. I would think that one of the largest churches in the world, at 1 billion goers would be better than sexual abuse. And apparently millions of dollars is going to make it all better. I mean, money is not gonna make me feel better if I was raped by anyone. I would rather the person who did it got the death penalty. I mean, for me, one of the many reasons why I left the Catholic Church is because of this. The fact that tons of priests are raping and sexual abusing little boys and teenage boys and the occasional girl. Aren't they bound by a vow of celibacy? And, this, my readers is why this happening. You cannot stop hormones or sexual desire, regardless of your sexaul orientation, unless you're asexual. Because priests are not allowed to get married because for some reason, women are... evil? And also because of the Church's view on homosexuality which is if you're gay, you're supposed to be celibate. But, that's like telling a person to not eat or a bulimic person not to throw up their food. That's why I think there's something seriously wrong with the Catholic Church.

I sometimes wonder if Christ is ever planning to come back. I mean, Christianity has been chanting, "Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again" since the beginning. But, WHEN? I gotta say that I'll be SEVERELY disappointed if he doesn't come back in my lifetime. of course, I'd have to touch his hands just to be sure. But, I like to think that, maybe Christ is so fed up with how Christianity has turned out to be (and did he ever want a religion to be made following his words?) that he doesn't plan on coming back. I mean, if I was Jesus I'd stay in Heaven too.

P.S. Drew Carey is apparently gonna be the host of the Price is Right. Hah.
