Anniversaries, iTunes, and History of Diaries

Good afternoon, all! How are you all doing? I'm doing okay.

So, it's the last day of August. Say Hi to September! :D

Economics. We basically got finished up with Chapter 2, which is kind of cool. She kept doing the whole introduce everyone to the class. I guess she wants us all to know each other or something.

French. Fun time! My Professor was out, so one of the TAs put in The Pink Panther with Steve Martin and we watched that in French with English subtitles. What a funny movie. I downloaded the Pink Panther theme song as soon as I got home.

I spent the last 30 minutes or so downloading songs from iTunes. I'm also getting rid of songs I don't listen to that much. There was one Country song in a slew of Soundtrack songs. I Loved Her First by Heartland. It was played at my cousin's wedding and everything I listen to it, I think of two things: how well it fits with Kim Possible (of course) and how Bindi Irwin won't get to have that experience because her father died a year ago.

Speaking of deaths of famous people, today is the 10th Anniversary of the death of Princess Diana:

I'd like to share some of my memories from ten years ago. Still clear as day:
I still remember where I was when it happened. We were all watching Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman and there was a little ticker that came up to say that Princess Diana had been in a car crash in France. I remember hoping that she'd be okay. And when I turned on the TV early that morning (about 6 or 7 am, and on a Sunday), which was on CNN, I still remember the shock and horror to see her picture and "1961-1997". All I can remember was turning the tv off, unable to believe it. Now that I recall that, it brings tears to my eyes. It about turned my blood cold.

So, the finale is a week from now. I'm prepared for handling it but I'm not sure how much I can handle it. It's all a crazy mix of feelings. I've already got the predictions ready. It's just really sad I'll never get to experience the excitement of a new episode.

I caught South Park last night. The Orca episode. Oh, Lord, that was funny. I was laughing my arse off.

So, today, is about the day four years ago, that I first laid eyes on Kim Possible, virtually changing the course of my life in a heartbeat. I am who I am today because Kim Possible's inspiration and strength on me. I am a proud Kim Possible fan and even though the series is nearly over, it will be in my heart and mind for the rest of my life. If I had to live my life over and knowing I'd find Kim someday, I'd do it in a heartbeat. I feel blessed to have found Kim because I'd be the kid I was 4 years ago. Thank You, Kim Possible. For all you've given to me in these four wonderful years. It has made all the difference. I lift my Dr. Pepper and drink to you. Here's looking at you, baby.

It's been a while since a... History of the diary! Yay! August 31st. In 2002, "This morning I watched Titanic. God what a sad movie. But it doesn't like hit me right in the heart like it use to do but it still makes me sad. That was like my fave movie for about 2 years and Leonardo DiCaprio was my favorite actor for 2 years. Now he's not that hot anymore. He got really ugly, too much Facial hair. I hate facial hair, but it's my opinion." In 2003, it was my 900th entry, I hadn't talked to Shane in two months, and the first time I mentioned KP at all, "Been watching Disney Channel. ALL DAY. From Proud Family to Kim Possible to Even Stevens (I so have to see the movie version thingy!!) to Boy Meets World and Sister Sister and Lizzie McGuire too. Great shows, terrific." In 2004, I was dealing with no computer (not fun), I got out of Pre Cal honors. Haha, I remember that breakdown fondly! I started my want to buy myself a computer, which didn't get actualized until October 2006! In 2005, I watched Golden Palace, I was mourning the loss of Danny and Michelle from GLight, I said this about KP, "LOL. I realized last night why I like the show so much. It's because, this is the first show that I've ever liked that had characters that I could relate to on a higher level. I mean, I love the Girls, but honestly with them being 40, 50, 60, 70 years older than me it's pretty much impossible to actually relate to them. The Rugrats were babies the entire time I watched them so I could not exactly relate to them. But, with KP I mean, Kim is my age and so is Ron and I understand what she is going through, being that she's my age." In 2006, I was just like, talking about stuff. I had one class and I wasn't really interesting. Haha.

And today's word of the day. The only reason I know of it because Hermione Granger said it in the Goblet of Fire movie about Krum! Yay! I still don't know what the hell it means.
