the historic date of today, some fun class stuff
3:30 p.m. on September 20, 2007

Good afternoon, all. How are you all doing today? I'm doing okay.

Today is the 4th anniversary that I became a Kim Possible fan. Well, of course, I guess the more proper term would be the day I CAME OUT as a Kim Possible fan, because I had been falling in love with it for about 3 weeks prior to that. So, in honor of the this historic date, which also happens to be the date I bought my baby blue converse shoes, created Ashley Possible-Benlove, and the date I chose as the birthday for Will Stoppable... of course, both of those refer to my writing, so alas I gotta mention them, because that date is historic for me, it literally changed my entire life. I wouldn't be who I am today if it wasn't for the events of that date. Click here to read the entry that pretty much altered the course of my life thus far. So, here is to life changing events. *lifts Diet Coke and drinks* It has made all the difference.

So, since I consider this date a historic date, let us do a History of the Diary of September 20th! In 2002, I was still getting used to high school and kind of like... blah about school. In 2003, we all know what happened. *points to the paragraph prior* In 2004, I was preparing for season 3 of Kim Possible (GOD, I can't believe it was that far ago, it seems like a lifetime ago!), I was working on my research paper in English (what was that about again? I can't remember, but I think it was good.) Excuse me whilst I check to see if I can find my research paper from Junior year. *2 minutes go by* Yeah, I found it, and it was about my world view and whether I was a liberal or conservative. Also discussing computers (very happy I got my own now). In 2005, I was doing applications for college and I was like kind of sick of my family, I was loving Phil of the Future, obviously still fighting for KP, and of course, dealing with the idea of Rita. Eeek. And a year ago, in 2006, I was talking about the Steve Irwin memorial service, I also did a history of the diary, "I was rather touched by when Bindi spoke. That little 8 year old girl spoke better than any of the adults there and she got a standing ovation before she even spoke! She basically said that Steve was her hero, she misses him everyday, and that she wants to be just like him. That totally instilled the hope in me that we'll have somebody of the Irwin line completely his work." God, I can't believe Irwin's been gone a year. So sad.

So, I'm all right since my accident yesterday. My girl, Hannah from RS.net (also a Dland member) made me feel better about it. And I don't really care. I just don't want people to bring it up. I was very serious about going to the bathroom as much as possible. I walked out of my Enviro Science 10 minutes to the end to go pee.

Algebra. Chapter 5 is completed and now we'll go onto our test in a week. Yay? I just gotta do my chapter 5 homework. I may do that tomorrow, because I'm gonna be studying my French tonight and watching Scrubs. More on that later.

Enviro Science. More on Human Populations and beginning chapter 5. It was fine. I was kind of... sleepy about it. Basically what I learned from that chapter is this: The richer and the more education you have and the more secular you are, the less kids you will have. But, the more poorer, the less educated you are, and the more religious you are, the more kids you are. Now, I'm not gonna bash religion, because a lot of religious people have a few kids, buut, it's a generalization that I think works. For example. My grandmother. 8th grade education, Devout Catholic, poor for years; 6 kids in 20 years. All but 1 were during the Baby Boom. And why is the baby boom a 20 year period from '45 to '65. I mean, what, we were still celebrating our win over the Japanese and Germans in the 50s and 60s?!

So, Human Societies. We started talking about Culture. She showed us pictures of various people and cultures. Scarification of African tribespeople (to me, I have no problem with that), bigotry (KKK, anti immigration, and homophobia, and you know how I feel about that *points to hates list on the side bar*), the whole tiny feet thing in China (they showed the feet of one woman and I just about cried), Bush, Pocahontas (not the cartoon version), etc. It was very interesting. And she mentioned how very few television shows have interracial couples. The only one I can name are Carla and Turk on Scrubs. And that's really it. Which is sad.

So, yes, Scrubs. I got my DVD yesterday:

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

I watched Disc 1 and a few Disc 2 episodes. It was good. I love season 3 because it's like Danni, and Ben dying, and Turk and Carla gonna get married and some other fun stuff.

So, yes, indeed still watching season 6, which is great. Musical craziness and postpartum depression. Poor Carla.
