The Lion King and it's affect on me
2:30 p.m. on September 22, 2007

Hey readers! How are you all doing? I'm doing pretty good.

I'm still pissed off from the 'Net connection being down for about an hour or so. I really do hate when it does that. I hate technology. But I'm so used to it that I guess it's okay.

So, I got quite a bit done on my to-do list. I wrote down quotes in my quotes book through June 2008. Yay for quote of the day. Now I'm well ahead of myself. The next time I write them down will be for the Harry Potter series and that probably won't be done until... well, probably Decemmber.

So, you probably noticed that I redid the Quizzes page. I'll probably have to do an actual 2nd quizzes page to do the next, because it's pretty long. Don't be surprise if I end up doing a second page later today. But, some of those things fit me so well. Apparently I belong in 1987. Ironic, as I was born in '87! And I'm Han Solo! Good times.

So, I decided to order Season 4 of Scrubs via Disney Movie Club (yeah, that is interesting). Mainly because it's the cheapest. Best Buy sells DVDs for 35 dollars, Barnes and Noble's website sells them for about 31-33 dollars, and DMC had S4 for 29 bucks, so I got a better rate.

Season 6 of Scrubs was pretty amusing. Poor J.D. is going through crazyness. What I really liked is the foreshadowing going on. I mean, Laverne gets into a car accident around the 14 and 15 episodes of season 6 and this is like 4 or 5 episodes before and SHE's being seen messing around with angel wings and talking about drunk drivers.

So, I finally got around to watching the movie that literally changed my life and still has an effect on it. The Lion King. Now, I have two versions of the movie, the original VHS release (which no longer has the little blue and pretty thing on the clamback thing) and the Special Edition version. I watched the SE version. Mainly bcause the original VHS release is one of those things I plan to keep because it's special and it's worth a lot of me. Now anybody who's ever seen The Lion King just knows how amazingly emotional it is. And, I knew that given my new emotional cry-at-movies-tv-shows-and-songs-ness, I would cry and I did. Mainly at the parts most obvious. Circle of Life, the stampede and Mufasa's death, Can You Feel The Love Tonight, and a bit of teary-eyed ness towards the end. But, yeah, obvious. Who doesn't get upset when Mufasa dies. I mean, watching the movie was so amazing and so... affirming. I mean, no matter how many times I've seen it, no matter how old I get, no matter what is going on, that movie will always be great for me, and still have the same affect on me. The Lion King is such a wonderful movie and I'm so glad it was made. I'm so glad it's my favorite of all time.
