Meerkat Manor, and some other stuff
Hey readers! How are you all doing today? I'm doing much better, for the most part. So, my modem has been behaving very nicely for the last 24 hours, leaving a very bewildered Pirate-Jedi-Wizard-Teen Hero (me!). Well, unless it messes up at all over the next week, I found spend $80 dollars on a new Cable Modem. I'd rather spend 80 dollars on things that really like. Like, DVDs. I still need season 4 and 5 of Scrubs. Speaking of buying stuff... I got a computer microphone in the mail from PollingPoint because I'll be participating in a weekly discussion for most of October. Hey, at least I have a microphone now! I don't have to spend money on that. So, whilst I watched Season 6 of Scrubs, which was nice, I actually finished my Lab Report. That was about 10 pages in length. No big. I'm just glad I'm done. I mean, I love seagrasses and trees as much as the next guy... but, yeah. So, Meerkat Manor. Okay, so, basically the episode begins with Flower's latest pregnancy in which she gave birth overnight. The Zappa family almost tried to take the 40 strong Whiskers on, right? LOL. That was not smart, and then end up leaving one of the current pups by itself. They named the Pups Axle, Slash, and Rose. Isn't that like a band? Anyways, so Mitch, (who's definitely on his way to become the next alpha male of the family) finds him and brings him to Flower, who spares his life. Unfortunately, a Cape Copra (read: evil venomous snake) was hanging around and found it's way to the burrow where Flower's Newborn Pups are. The group mobs the burrow, and then Flower went into the burrow to save her pups. She got struck on the head by the snake and then died of her injuries. I definitely cried. I also figured I'd do a little in memory of Flower type thing, I must say I stole a few lines from Animal Planet's website and found the various pictures online...
Flower, favorite rose of the Kalahari, you were Queen of the Meerkats. You were living proof as to how strong females can be. Born of humble beginnings, seven years ago, you created one of the largest meerkat mobs in the deserts of Africa.
You were a formidable and fearless leader; A noble mother. You died to save your own children. You are a true mother. You are Lily Potter in greatness. You were the reason I watched Meerkat Manor. You ruled your territory with a strong army.
Flower, through your children, your legacy shall live on.
Rocket Dog is now the leader. I just hope she's up to the challenge, but I don't think she'll be as great as her mother. But I think Mitch shall be the next alpha male when Zaphod leaves.
