hist of the diary, Revenge of the Sith, more pics, and classes
Yo, dudes! How are you all doing? I'm doing okay. I realize it's been forever since I did a history of the diary. I figured I do one. November 16th. In 2002, I was reading The Diary of Anne Frank, dealing with Little Bit(ch) and Hank, and I wrote the entry at my aunt's house. Very few entries in the blog have been written somewhere other than chez Ashley. In 2003, not really a good day, really. In 2004, my cousin Kat was sleeping on the couch. Far cry from her now, still at the KS board, and just doing stuff. In 2005, I watched the Breakfast Club, and stuff. In 2006, not much, really. A short entry and stuff. Oooh.. I listened to Janet Jackson's Would You Mind all through that bit. That song turns me on. It really does. Beach sent some more pics of Gavin. Four, but I'll post two because 3 were the same. He's smiling already? He's a friggin week old! What a creepy smile too... I think he's plotting evil deeds. Hey, he's my cousin so I gotta pick on him! :p Economics. That test was not as easy as I hope. I was there until the very end, even with using the book and notes. It was hard. French. We finished that chapter up and then went onto the next chapter, which is about dinner, lunch, breakfast, etc. Apparently, Americans see eating as a necessity, the French see it as an art. I suppose I agree. And they love cheese, because it's not the crappy bland stuff we have here in America. Which is part of the reason I rather detest cheese and call myself a selective lactose intolerant. But, damn, it made me hungry. I love food. I also got back my composition and I redid it to fit with her suggestions. I also saw that my Human Societies professor added another extra credit opportunity on her website, so I'll be doing that this weekend. I won't have her class or my Econ class next week, but I plan to do at least 3 of the 6. The other involves watching an hour of children's programming. I'll randomly record one hour of the Disney Channel and then write my paper about that. But I'll do that next week. Last night whilst I studied for my econ test (in a half-assed kind of way, by the way), I watched Revenge of the Sith. Yes, a Star Wars film. I watched it imagining which South Park boy would be which character. Mace Windu would be Kenny, because he dies first. Yoda would be Stan, because he's wise. Anakin would be Cartman, because he's evil and Obi Wan would be Kyle, because he's coo. Yes, cool, but said like Cartman says it. I am indeed obsessed. But, I do love ROTS. It's a good movie with lots of wonderful exchanges and lines: Padmé Amidala: So this is how liberty dies. With thunderous applause. Yoda: Death is a natural part of life. Rejoice for those around you who transform into the Force. Mourn them, do not. Miss them, do not. Attachment leads to jealousy. The shadow of greed that is. The fear of loss is a path to the Dark Side. Good relations with the Wookiees, I have. He does, he and the Wookiees are cool! Anakin Skywalker: What was that all about? Obi-Wan Kenobi: You were the Chosen One! It was said that you would destroy the Sith, not join them! Bring balance to the Force, not leave it in darkness! Darth Vader: You turned her against me! One of the best scenes is when Obi asks, "Anakin is the father isn't he?" and she doesn't respond, she just looks down, and looks ashamed. Anyways, I got this book: South Park and Philosophy. I ordered it from B&N.com earlier this week. It's a book written by various people, mainly Ph.D candidates, Professors, etc. People of Academica. It discusses South Park and stuff related to philosophy. I like philosophy and have great respect for fictional things that are written about in such a matter. I was reading some of this book when I should have been studying for my Economics test today. Haha. One of my favorite sections thus far in the book is by a woman named Catherine Yu who talks about if it is okay to laugh at South Park in her chapter, entitled: "Recall That It Is Cartman's Ten-Year-Old Hand That Ben Has Sex With After All", refering to the episode "Fat Butt and Pancake Head" which itself is funny. But it's a great book annd I enjoy it thus far. I may read some more soon. I couldn't put it down, because it's so cool to read a book like this. They reference various episodes, talk about stuff. It's really fun. Thought/Quote of the day: "Christmas 1992. Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable were four years old." -- Narration, Kim Possible: Their First Christmas Together by myself, January 2006 Word of the day: apsidal Hakuna Matata. |
