Soc papers, and not much to talk about
Good afternoon, readers! How are you all doing today? I'm doing okay. I haven't got much done today, given that Whitney is here, so I'm talking with her and stuff. But, I do plan to work on a paper for Sociology. And I've already got the time and episodes and television shows picked out for when I watch an hour of children's programming for the 5 to 7 page paper I plan to write. I already knew that I'd watch the Disney Channel, because I'm familar with the channel, given that I spent 4 years watching the channel. But, I had to check via Yahoo as to what's going to be on in the next week, because I wanted two different shows, and there was going to be a marathon of different shows from Wednesday on, so I had to choose Tuesday. It also couldn't be Kim Possible, because well, based on the fact that the last four chapters are about racial, gender, and class social problems, I could talk about the show, but I want to talk about shows that I like, not love. Well, shows that I like, but it wouldn't harm be to go into them in such a way. Or some bullshit like that. That and the fact, I'm not truly ready to watch KP again. Plus, I already wrote a paper with KP discussed for more than one page. In my English class in Spring 2007. Also, by that definition, That's So Raven was out, because I hate that show. So, I chose a time between 2:30 and 3:30. Phil of the Future and the Suite Life are on and both are episodes I've seen. Raging Bull and Bowling. I could definitely write a few pages about them. I plan to record the episodes onto a VHS tape as well. I'll program my VCR as well, because I might forget. It's a shame I can't write a paper about South Park, because that would really work out. I mean, it's about children... sort of. Anyways, yeah, I finished that South Park and Philosophy book. It was really good. I understood most of it and it was interesting takes. I liked the fact it references to various episode, characters, and whatnot. There was a whole chapter about Gay Marriage and each of the boys had their own chapter. Stan's was about ethics of belief I believe. Yeah. Cartman's was about the law. Kenny's was about Existentialism, which I've known about, but I don't understand, full. Kyle's was about how he's a philosopher. Religion is talked about in at least two chapters, another chapter discusses "Fun With Veal" in great detail and another, talks about Gender and Sexuality. Which was rather interesting. It was more about feminism, because the show isn't really a feminist show, which I've recognized and I'm okay with. Overall a good book. In addition, South Park Studios released a video on their website, of a deleted scene from The List, that gives the name of the last boy on the List. Cartman. Figures. I knew that. I knew it. And it's not like what is inside him can help either, because, in the immortal words of Dr. Perry Cox from Scrubs, he is a "Bastard-coated bastard with bastard filling." Okay, so, that's really all I've got to say. I'm gonna start on my paper now.
