Christmas, Photojournaling, and Philosophy. OH MY!
10:59 a.m. on December 25, 2007

I normally don't do entries as early as... morningtime, but we're going to Christmas Dinner at my Aunt's house... as soon grandma and mom come back from Christmas Day mass. Merry Christmas all! :) And Happy Birthday to Jesus! You were born like 2000 years ago and you died... like, 2000 years ago. :)

Apparently Kat and Beach are cooking. I hope we don't end up poisoned! I know, I know, that's mean. But, hey! I just hope it's not turkey. But at least I get to go on a car ride and see my aunt's dogs, whom I love almost as much as my Hankie.

So, I guess I should post pictures from the celebrations last night:

Gavin in Santa outfit

Look at that, Gavin is Santa! How cute! :) Poor kid. Mental note to use this and other pictures as payback when he's a ten year old bastard....

Me and Codi

Codi and Me. Haha. What an amusing picture. You KNOW I'm doing the take the photo myself with arm outstretched thing.

Ashley Codi Dustin Casey

Casey (the darker one), Codi, and Dustin, green shirt, and me. I love how Casey's smile is totally genuine.

My mom, Hank, Kevin

My mum, Hank, and Kevin. Hank is moving around. He's insane.

Whitney

Whitney the White Reindeer! Hahah! WATCH OUT FOR THE HUNTERS!

Leanne Kevin Tommy

What a totally random picture. How perfect too. Everyone has their eyes closed.

Entire family

Yay, the entire Winkler family. Minus Jay (who's taking the picture) and Chad and his family who are in MS. I'm the one in the loud green shoes holding a dog.

Pandemonium

I call this one Pandemonium, because that's what it was. P.S. Gavin's head is at the edge of the frame!

Now onto the Presents!

Jewelry

I think they are diamond studded earrings, necklace, and a bracelet. From Family Friend, Linda.

Purse

A Purse! Yay! You can never have enough purses! Also from Family Friend Linda.

Harry Potter 5 and Pirates of the Caribbean 3 DVD

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End on DVD. From my mom and Santa. ;) I watched Order this morning. Such a good movie, totally touching.

Box of chocolates!!!

Chocolate. Always yummy. Already half-eaten. LOL. From Santa apparently.

Baz Luhrmann's Red Curtain Trilogy DVD set

Baz Luhrmann's Red Curtain Trilogy DVD set with Strictly Ballroom (1992), Romeo + Juliet (1996), and Moulin Rouge (2001) and extra DVD box. From Kat, Beach, and Gavin. Interesting. I thought of Meredith when I saw Moulin Rouge. I've only seen R&J, but hey, these six DVDs bring my DVD collection to 98! I AM ALMOST THERE!!

PJ Top
PJ Pants

From my Aunt Leanne and her family. I do love Pajamas. I needed a new top and it's always nice to have extra pants.

Gift Cards

From my Godfather, Ruben! :) The iTunes card didn't work when I tried to redeem it, but that's okay! Because, I could totally use the B&N Gift card! I can possible complete my collection. I got another 25 gift cert to B&N recently from a survey group for doing a 75 minute interactive study group thingy thing. :) So, I can use some of the stuff. I can't use them at the same time, because Barnes and Noble is a bastard like that!

And I also got a total of 35 dollars (not pictured because we know what money looks like). Good times. :)

South Park book

And this, which is a gift to myself. It came just in time for Christmas and it's very good. And apparently the series it's in has also done a Harry Potter and Philosophy and a Star Wars and Philosophy. Nice. :) I do have the sneaking suspicion the writer is an atheist, but then again, I could be confusing open minded for atheism. I actually don't mind atheism, it's just... how can you not believe?

Mer and I had this chat late last night where we basically concluded that because we believe in what we believe it exists. Believing in something basically makes it real or true. I believe in Santa Claus, that makes him sort of real. I've always been into reality/existence type of things. I'm philosophical like that.

LOL. Codi complained how she got mostly clothes and make up. And Whitney was like, "That's because you're a girly-girl." Duh, and I got mostly DVDs because I like DVDs.

It was great fun, though. I totally can't wait to watch the rest of my DVDs! Hehe!
