6th anniversary, crying watching movies, and more
Happy Day, readers! How are you all doing today? I am doing relatively good. Happy Anniversary to the Diary today! And, as you can probably tell, the diary got a little revamp. New Main pic, new smaller avatar-esque picture, and change in the words surrounding said avatar pic, an update in the About Me page, and the color scheme. You'll notice all the main seven got onto the collage. All near each other (except for Kim Possible) who got added later. The KP one was added lastly along with my South Park character persona. That Scorpio bit is actually on my personal collage that is on my wall. The only thing saved from the previous layout (which I actually didn't save because I semi-forgot) was the BSB pic, my KP pic, and that photo of me. I do like that photo. You will notice a good deal of change in the about me page. Less KP-centric, more fun. Also, I didn't change the title of the page, it's still the same as last time, because I'm lazy and I like it. I'll change it when we hit 10 years! So, what do you think of the new layout? I like it. Two of my favorite colors. There is a LOT of blue, though. But, then again, I kind of have a predisposition to blue. I just like the color. It's very easy on the eyes. I dunno what the heck that's about. As for the anniversary itself. Yay the diary is 6 years old! Also, my calendar had a Bush quote, so alas here we go: "See, one of the interesting things in the Oval Office - I love to bring people into the Oval Office - right around the corner from here - and say, this is where I office, but I want you to know the office is always bigger than the person." -- Washington D.C., January 2004. Algebra. Continued on with Wednesday's lesson. It's not so hard, actually. It was pretty good. French. We learned some more stuff. I should study that stuff over the weekend. Lifespan. We talked about various theories, which was cool. Psychoanalytical, Behavorism, and all that. Good times. So, last night watching the three movies I got on DVD, was a cry fest after cryfest. Dinosaur, the first twenty minutes, I was crying freely. Tears falling down to my skin. Mainly when that asteroid hits and Aladar and his family (the lemurs) flee. Oh, man, that's one of the best Disney movie scenes. So amazing. A lot of good Afro-American voices in the film: Ossie Davis, Alfre Woodard, Samuel E. Wright, Della Reese. I love this movie. I mean, the fact that Plio, this little lemur adopts this little dinosaur. The family is a bit confusing. Not that I complain. Who cares where Suri and Zini's father is, the father figure they have is Yar, who I guess is Plio's dad. I love Baylene though. Huge tall dinosaur, British voice, very crazily graceful. Aladar: [despairing] We're not meant to survive. And yeah, the movie is a bit inaccurate, but I'm not looking for facts, I'm looking to be entertained and touch. Facts take a backseat. And then I went on to the Homeward Bound movies. And I cried like a little baby. I love it. It's a touching movie, and three great animals. Here are so of my favorite quotes: Shadow: [after Sassy is lost in the river] I shouldn't have made her come. I CRIED. I did. I mean, this scene, these lines, they are the reason that I am a dog lover. I just love the friendship between these dogs. The love they had for each other, and the love they had for their owners. I love the scene when Shadow falls into the hole over at the Train Station, Chance's speech to him is just beautiful. And then when the family and the animals are reunited. Aw, man, that's so touching. And of course, I cried. And then the sequel. I love that movie too, it's very good, it's pretty fun. Makes me tear up too. Especially when for that brief 2 or 3 minutes you think that that trucker hit Chance. I do love the quotes in the movie: Chance: I'm lost in the city with an optimistic dog and a sarcastic kitty. Chance: [going down a slide] Chance slides, and he's out of there! I love the way each of the animals react to seeing a Poodle. Shadow is very respectful, Sassy is nasty about the haircut, and then Chance offends her. Thought/Quote of the day: "Kim's long, beautiful red hair covering them like a silky curtain."-- Narration, Kim Possible: Their First Valentine's Day by myself, February 2007 Word of the day: parapet Hakuna Matata. |
