Imaginationland Trilogy, and Tonsil Trouble was CRAZY!
Hey readers! How are you all doing? I am doing pretty good, great actually. Because today is a big packed entry about 1000 different things (exaggeration!), I am actually writing some of this earlier than normal and I am writing this in Microsoft Word to begin with. So, let us start off with my class day just to get it OUT of the way first. World Lit. We had a writing assignment about Marie de France’s lais (narrative poems). I chose the one about La Fresne. That is actually French for Ash Tree. Or something to that affect. And my first name, Ashley means “From the Ash Tree” so the chick I was writing as was named Ashley like me! It was cool. I also got my writing assignment 5 about the Aeneid back. 56 out of 60. And my Midterm. SO FAST! YES!!!! I got 111 out of 150. Which is like a C I guess? I’m not sure, but it looks like good grade to me. So, ABL is happy. We also talked about Marie de France a bit. Western Civ. We did some lecture on Nationalism, which was very interesting because we discussed what being an American meant to us and whatnot. I also got my first exam back. I got a 67. A D. Not too bad. I mean, if I get a C in this class, if I get a B in this class, that’s okay too. I bought some items from e4hats last night for about 25 bucks. Headbands—coloured powder blue and black. And then… a lime green trooper hat. Indeed, think the little boy in the banner on my blog. ;) Anyways. I also bought Nutella from the campus convenience store, and it looks amazing. I wanted to try IT! It is creamy and chocolatey and it is AMAZING! So, the Imaginationland Trilogy DVD. W.O.W. It was GREAT. I started with the Storyboards, just two of them, which were like little crappy drawings of certain scenes with the dialogue. It was awesome. Then, I went on to the extra episodes to watch before the movie because they are interrelated with the Imaginationland trilogy, Woodland Critter Christmas and ManBearPig. Great episodes. Then I watched The Imaginationland trilogy with COMMENTARY. The commentary is far longer than what Trey Parker and Matt Stone do. They usually do like 3 to 7 minutes mini ones, as they explained, but they actually did nearly all of the 65 minutes. Well, 46 minutes, which worked out well. They explained a LOT of stuff, some of which I had already figured out from actually thinking about the trilogy critically and whatnot. They talked about Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, and a lot more. It was GREAT. And then, AND THEN, I watched it without commentary. I loved how much they added. Extra scenes, extra lines (“Get him some lemons and chapstick!” – Cartman after Kyle is revived) and even really cool ways to differentiate from the three parts. Part 2 has a Lord of the Rings style lead in with a title of “Drying of the Balls” and there are amazing shots. Part 3 has a Star Wars like parody crawl at the beginning, “Moistening of the Scrotum”. That was cool. I love how much they added, how awesome it looks on DVD. I mean, the trilogy with DVD quality, I practically WEEPED with happiness. I love it. So worth buying. I am going to watch it again. Now, onto Tonsil Trouble. I am going to do something different. I am going to post the plot synopsis crap from Wikipedia, which will be in bold and have my comments in between them and if I can FIND a working and proper embedding source I’ll even post the episode here… Here’s the link: Click here!
Cartman is convinced to remove his tonsils after a doctor who visits his house promises him free ice cream. He discovers that he has HIV after the doctors give him donor blood infected with HIV. Cartman's friends are told by school staff members to be nice to Cartman, and not to be scared to give him hugs. Cartman attempts to start an awareness program, but only raises $17, as few care about AIDS anymore, believing it to be "retro". Elton John is scheduled to play at a benefit dinner for Cartman but does not show up in favor of playing at a cancer benefit show, and is replaced by Jimmy Buffett (who sings "AIDSburger in Paradise"). I actually was shocked. I actually cried for Cartman, I felt so bad for him. Ironically, in a Golden Girls episode back in the day when AIDS was the thing, Rose was thought to be HIV positive, but it later ended up happy. I did love the way the teachers and doctors and parents were given the news (Butters, Kyle, Stan, and Kenny), it was kind of like Kenny Dies, Season 5. I loved when Butters actually kissed Cartman’s cheek! AWWW! And, Jimmy Buffet?! Only frat boys and drunk chicks from the South like him! According to Cartman. Kyle thinks it is ironic that Cartman has HIV and so laughs at Cartman. Cartman decides to teach him a lesson. He convinces Butters to help him break into Kyle's room while he's asleep. Cartman empties a syringe filled with his blood into Kyle's mouth, resulting in transmitting the virus. Kyle is taken to the hospital the following Monday, and the doctor asks him if he has been having unprotected anal sex. After Kyle says no, the doctor breaks the news that he, too, is infected with HIV. I knew what Cartman was going to do before he did it. I was so shocked and upset that I was ready to cry and cry for the rest of the episode. This is the WORST thing he has EVER done, bar none. Even feeding Scott Tenorman’s parents to him. I did enjoy the Doctor asking Kyle if he’s “taking it up the hoo-hah.” I felt so sorry for Kyle. I was so worried for him! I love that little guy. I care about him. I mean, yes, I was like, well, don’t laugh, Kyle because it’s not funny. But, I didn’t want THAT to happen to him. Kyle, enraged at Cartman, finds him on the school playground where he pushes him down and begins to punch him repeatedly. Mr. Mackey breaks up the fight and takes them to the principal's office. Cartman is forced to apologize that he gave Kyle HIV. However, Kyle is then forced to apologize for tattling on Cartman for giving him HIV. Kyle, even more infuriated, decides to break everything Cartman owns. That fight was SO FUCKING AWESOME!!!!! It was! That fight was the best fight they’ve ever had! Kyle enters Cartman's house and begins to break things, such as Cartman's beloved stuffed animal, Clyde Frog. As Kyle is about to break Cartman's Xbox 360, Cartman stops him by claiming he can cure Kyle and himself by going to see Magic Johnson, who has lived with HIV for 16 years. Cartman is "HIV positive" his idea will work but Kyle says if he doesn't, he will break the Xbox. They go on a flight to Los Angeles by stating that they have "all-over cancer", since the airline only provides free seats to cancer patients. Magic Johnson tears up at their story, and as they begin talking to him, Kyle yells at Cartman for constantly saying "We're not just sure, we're HIV positive," stating that it's not funny to have AIDS (even though Cartman infected Kyle for that same reason). Magic Johnson?! Lol. But, that joke was fucking stupid after awhile. And, when Kyle broke Cartman’s stuff, I only cared for the Clyde Frog one. I remember how much I was heartbroken when the bad guys killed Kim’s Pandaroo in KP: Graduation. They then look around Magic Johnson's house and find that, since he doesn't trust banks, he sleeps with all his money in his bedroom. Kyle hypothesizes that sleeping with money has kept Magic Johnson alive. They end up finding that large concentrations of money cures AIDS (after it has been ground up and injected into the bloodstream). After Kyle is successfully cured, everyone spreads the news about the cure for AIDS - about $180,000 injected into the bloodstream. Even though I KNEW deep down inside that everything would be okay and Kyle and Cartman would be okay, I was still sad for them, I was upset because I care about the boys. I love that they cured AIDS in this episode. How interesting. I wish they cured it for real. I hope it happens in my lifetime. After finding out that money is the cure for AIDS, Kyle and Cartman are honored by a speaker for finding the cure and for their supposedly persevering friendship. Kyle says he and Cartman aren't friends and that Cartman gave him AIDS. The speaker "corrects" himself, calling the two "lovers", and moves on with his speech. Jimmy Buffett shows up to sing again, much to the dismay of Cartman and Kyle, the latter of whom decides to break the Xbox after all. I loved the joke about Cartman and Kyle being gay lovers. It satiates the Kyle/Cartman shipper in me. Mm….! I would rate it an 8 out of 10. I can’t wait to see the next episode. Also, I am NEVER going to get a tonsillectomy unless I was promised that I wouldnot get a blood transfusion or get HIV or AIDS. I DON'T WANT TO DIEEEE! I don’t know if this website will work because it’s crap but still I am posting it. You can watch the episode here or the link I posted. I don't care if you watch it or not, I just wanted to share it. At least check out the main theme. Thought/Quote of the day: "You better make that boy happy."
