Fantastical stories and more
Hey folks! How are you all doing today? I am doing pretty good right now. So, after seeing Prince Caspian yesterday, I decided to delve more into worlds of fantastical stories, where you really have to USE your imagination, and on occasion, believe in it. Stories about kids going to different worlds and fighting for their lives. So, since the last entry I watched: South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut; The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe; Imaginationland; and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Plus, I'm on chapter 28 of Deathly Hallows, and I'm perfectly okay with weeping at the end of the book. :) So, let's go with the first one and go onto the rest. So, I watched SP: BLU in the afternoon, while doing quotations for my quote book Quotes of the Day thing for December 2009. It's such a fun movie. I wanted to include specific quotes as well as bits of the songs. For some reason, the music of BLU is just amazing. It's such fun to watch 8 year olds save the world. I love when they go onto computer about to send the word out to save Terrance and Phillip and Stan's like "Do a search on the word Clitoris!" And, so they do it, and it's quite amusing. Plus, I may be a Kyle/The Mole shipper. The Mole is the best part of the third act. I mean, he's a cute little French kid and he dies is Kyle's arms. And he uses his last breath to fucking sing. And then a few hours later I watched The first Narnia movie. I do love it. And I may be the first to admit: I am a Lucy/Tumnus shipper. And before you get all pissy... her as an adult, not at like 8 or whatever age she is in that movie. It just seemed right. Though, my cousin Whitney has something similar. She watches Inuyasha and ships this little girl with a much older demon, but clarifies: when said little girl is an adult. I do like this movie, even if Edmund's a jerk. I do like how everyone is in the battle. Though, I am not a fan of the cop-out that is the little "cure any injury with one drop" thing Lucy gets from Father Christmas. JEEZ. And, then before bed I watched Imaginationland. And I got a little emotional. :) As usual, but that's what that trilogy does. I mean, early today while reading Dobby's death I yelled at the book: "WHY DIDN'T YOU JUST KILL EVERYONE?!" I mean, that's what happened in Imaginationland. What I like the most is the fact that everytime I watch it, I see something different, because I've yet to identify ALL of the characters that appeared. Though I did see Harry Potter (I identified him in the background by his scarf of gold and scarlet) fighting somebody. And when Cartman says in the DVD version, "Do you think I want Kyle to suck my balls for physical pleasure?" I'm like reading the HP book at the same time and I'm like, "YES. YES. YES. You are gay." LOL. I could spend forever gabbing about the trilogy, because, well, I could. It it a shame that none of the kids fight. I mean, they would have done brilliantly. Also, I watched Order of the Phoenix, but that's no biggie. So, Deathly Hallows, last night I got up to the Malfoy Manor chapter and I knew, I had to stop because otherwise I'd have nightmares. That chapter is just horrible. When Greyback is talking about how soft Hermione's skin I want to VOMIT. But, her writing is so good. I am going to go back to it soon. Plus, I can see the undertones of Dumbledore having a thing for Grindelwald. So, I plan to start applying for jobs this week, no bullshit. I got distracted last week and I really want to have some spending money this summer. I want that 8 GB iPod and a new TV. :) Thought/Quote of the day: "I've always done that. She's my best friend." -- Caroline, Kim Possible: Mary's Secret Part 3 by myself, May 2007 Word of the day: recyclable Hakuna Matata. |
