About Me
1. I absolutely love to learn, whether it be in a classroom or through watching Television; I love to be enlightened. It is a lot of fun. I believe that learning and knowledge is truly power. Ignorance is not bliss. 2. My favorite Bible passage is: "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."-- 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, The New International Version. It is a beautiful passage and it sums up exactly how I feel about love. 3. Which leads to my next point. I believe firmly that love is love, end of story. It does not matter who falls in love with whom. You cannot conquer love, ever. It is the most powerful force (aside from "The Force" of Star Wars) in the whole universe. 4. I am a Romantic. One should have figured that out after the last 2 items. 5. I am a very sensitive person; I tend to take things personally. I also cry if something upsets me, or a movie or tv show makes me cry. And I AM NOT ASHAMED of it. I love a good cry! It's therapeutic. I believe crying is okay and just because I do it, it does not make me weak, it makes me even more human. I have no issues with crying. 7. I am named after Ashley Abbott from the Young and the Restless. I did not find this out until I was twenty years old. 8. I believe that my favorite television shows, movies, and books say a lot about the kind of person that I am and who I am. 9. My top five favorite television shows of all time are: 5. Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, 4. Xena: Warrior Princess, 3. South Park, 2. The Golden Girls, and 1. Kim Possible. My current favorite television show is South Park. 10. My favorite quote from a William Shakespeare play is: "Be not afraid of greatness. Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon 'em." -- Malvolio, Twelfth Night, 2.5.139. 11. I have learned through my experiences in life that friendship means more to me than I will ever know or more than I could ever express. If you look at my favorite shows and movies (the television shows mainly), you will notice that most of them have a great friendship between two or more of the characters. 12. I was born and raised a Roman Catholic. However, because of my own issues with Catholicism and Christianity, I consider myself an Agnostic Christian, because I believe in God and Jesus, and I have a lack of faith. I also call myself a Jedi and a Possible-ite. Generally I have a wide range of religious beliefs. 13. I enjoy having alone time by myself, but I would not want to be alone forever. 14. The first movie I ever saw in theatres (or remember seeing) was Jurassic Park. It scared the crap out of me. It is now number 4 on my top favorite movies of all time. 15. As of the current date, I know what I am going to name my children. And they are the following: Kyle (Nickolas) Anakin, William (Eric) George, Kimberly (Possible and/or Ginerva) Leia, Elizabeth (Hermione) Kiara. Most of the names I’ve chosen are for fictional characters who I like and I like their names. The names in parentheses are the extra middle name if I decide to have my children to have three names in their full name. 16. In my own opinion, William Shakespeare is the World's Greatest Playwright... EVER! 17. For a short six month period in late 2003, I was a templete/layout whore. Every month, I had a new layout. 18. I wear glasses and one eye is better than the other eye. I have myopia, I can’t see far. 19. I have something called Amblyopia... basically I have lazy eye, my eyelid droops as if I'm about to fall asleep. But I see perfectly fine. It's not a big deal and as I've gotten older, it seems to have corrected itself. 20. I am half liberal and half conservative. A moderate. But I tend to lean towards the liberal side. 21. I love quotations. I like collecting them, reading them, using them all the time. 22. I have had 2 major pets. Simba (1994-2001), a grey tomcat, who was like my best friend and Hank, a standard dachshund, who is like my brother. 23. The pivotal years for me in my life the last five years or so. The last five years of my life have ensued the most changes in my life. I have learned so much about myself and I have grown up so much. 24. I love thunderstorms. 25. I am confident enough in myself to say proudly that I am a dork. 26. I love the Science Fiction genre, like Jurassic Park, The Terminator, Star Wars, Alien, etc. 27. I am on the fence with abortion. I am Pro-Choice and Pro-Life, because I believe it's a woman's body and a woman's choice to do what she pleases with it, but it's not fair to kill a child. 28. I love the Harry Potter books and I believe that J.K. Rowling is the best writer ever. 29. J.K. Rowling is my hero when it comes to writing. 30. I believe in Reincarnation and past lives. 31. I believe in the possibility that aliens exist; after all, the universe is always expanding. 32. The best directors ever in my opinion are: Kevin Smith, George Lucus, Steven Spielberg, Steve Loter, and Robert Emmerich. 33. I have a temper. 34. I am very paranoid. I do not trust a lot of people for certain reasons. But I am overcoming that. 35. I love to laugh. It feels so good. 36. "If someone cannot accept you for who and what you are, then they should just fuck off, simple as that." -- My personal Manifesto/Creed, adopted in September of 2002. 37. I believe that the meaning of life is humor, sex, chocolate, and education. 38. I am a virgin and I plan to stay one until I am in love and have found the right person. As much as I would love to try it now, I do not think I would be ready for such an emotional thing. I want to be in love before I take such a step. To me, having sex should be for the emotion in the act, rather than the act itself or the pleasure of the act. 39. 13 is my favorite number. 40. I am an only child. 41. I love myself for who I am. 42. I collect DVDs. I started in April 2005, and to date, I have 100 plus DVDs. I prefer DVDs that have extra features. 43. I am a very accepting and tolerant person. I try to follow Martin Luther King's dream of judging people not by the color of their skin, or their religion, or anything like that, but what kind of person they are. 44. I am extremely anti-censorship. 45. I believe that The Lion King, Kim Possible, South Park, Dogma, Harry Potter, The Golden Girls, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, and Star Wars have had a huge affect on my life and have changed my life in some form or the other. 46. As I have grown up, I have become more comfortable about my sexuality. I now can actually tell a female if I think she's good looking. 47. If I had my own personal Mount Rushmore I would have Kim Possible, Harry Potter, Jack Sparrow or Elizabeth Swann from Pirates of the Caribbean, and Anakin Skywalker, Yoda or Obi Wan Kenobi from Star Wars. 48. I have a huge passion for writing and it feeds my soul. 49. I masturbate at least 1 or 2 times a week, sometimes more often and have been doing so since I was at least 10 or 12. Sometimes, It is what is the easiest for me to fall asleep. 50. My most prized possession is my autographed script of the Kim Possible episode, "A Very Possible Christmas." 51. One of my simplest pleasures is to see a plot unravel before my very eyes as I am writing. 52. In real life I seem like I am shy but when you get to know me I talk and talk and talk. 53. The following words describe me best: eccentric, intelligent, organized, writer, female, liberal, passionate, loyal, mature, and nice. 54. Embarrassing Tidbit: I was born by C-Section because I would not come out. 55. I love making new friends, it's fun. 56. I have cried watching a series finale of a show. I sobbed during the (then) series finale of Kim Possible: So The Drama, as well as the current series finale of Kim Possible: Graduation, the final episodes of The Golden Girls, Boy Meets World, and Even Stevens. 57. I am afraid of lizards, bugs, insects, snakes; I will go into hysterics when I see one. 58. One of my proudest accomplishments is being a member of the campaign that saved Kim Possible from ending because of the 65 episode rule. 59. I have a fetish with literary erotica, big ears, and belly hair. Belly hair... just turns me on. 60. I love unhealthy food. And I don't care if it's bad for me. It's taste good. I hate people getting on my case because I eat unhealthy food. 61. I have been affected by my writing; being so touched that I've cried and/or being aroused by a hot scene. I believe that having cried by something you've written is a milestone for writers. 62. I am currently in college. I attend Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. 63. Among my philosophies of Hakuna Matata (No Worries) and Carpe Diem (Seize the day), I also believe in WWKPD, which is "What Would Kim Possible Do?" 64. I was at one time obsessed with Nick Carter for like 2 years; took over 6 months to get through the process of getting over it. Even now, after several years, I still not sure I am fully over him. He has a place in my heart though. 65. I am a child at heart. 66. When I was younger, before age 10 or 11, after seeing the Bachae episode (Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, which is my favorite episode by the way) of Xena, I was obsessed with vampires. Even now, I will admit that I find vampires to be erotic, enigmatic, and sexy. 67. My biggest pet peeves are closemindedness, hypocrites, people who diss stuff before they give it a chance, bigotry, and spoilers. 68. My mom and I have a really good relationship, she and I sometimes like the same thing. 69. I love to talk about stuff that I have written. I like to hear myself talk. 70. I have never met my father, and if I had the chance to meet him or his family, I wouldn't. That man may have given me life, but he is not my father. 71. John Williams in my opinion does the best scores for movies. 72. I hate MTV. 73. I don't think Plastic Surgery is right; it goes against my manifesto. 74. I think it's okay to embarrass yourself sometimes, it proves you are human. 75. My pen name is Ashley Benlove. 76. I have a mature mind and like to think dirty sometimes. 77. I find that the Gothic culture is very interesting. I considered myself to be slightly gothic back in the day, but I did not have the mentality. 78. I am an optimistic person most of the time. 79. I have been in a few plays. I was in a high school production of "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown." as a extra child. I was in a high school production a year later as a musician in Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night. 79. I am an animal lover and I despise animal cruelty. I am members of several animal rights group (Humane Society, ASPCA, Defenders of Wildlife). 80. One of my favorite fictional characters is Eric Cartman from South Park. He is funny and I can relate to him on some level (I am angry, fat, short, and fatherless like him). I also like him because he is a constant reminder of the kind of person I DON’T want to be. 81. I love chocolate. 82. I am very hyper. 83. I am an Internet freak. 84. My top ten personal heros are from 1 to 10 are: Kim Possible, my mother, Jesus Christ, Anne Frank, Susan B. Anthony, Harry Potter, Steve Irwin, J.K. Rowling, Joan of Arc, and Martin Luther King, Jr. 85. I used to be not a firm believer of inter-racial dating, but I have warmed up to it. I am cool with it for others, though. After all, I did state earlier that Love is love, end of story. 86. I am very curious about my body. 87. I am a feminist. Females are very strong. Anne Frank, Kim Possible, Xena, Joan of Arc, Jessica Lynch, the Virgin Mary, Elizabeth Swann, and other women show just that. I also have an anti-men streak. 88. I would want to have maybe one or two lesbian encounters in my life... to see what it's like. 89. If I had a chance to have a sexual encounter with a fictional female I would choose the following Kim Possible's Kim Possible or Shego, Harry Potter's Hermione Granger, Lara Croft of Tomb Raider fame, Xena of Xena fame, or Elizabeth Swann of Pirates of the Caribbean fame. 90. However, if I had the chance to have a sexual encounter with a fictional male I would choose Ron Stoppable of Kim Possible, Anakin Skywalker of Star Wars (I love the bad boys) Sirius Black, Harry Potter, and Ron Weasley of Harry Potter, or Will Turner and Jack Sparrow of Pirates of the Caribbean fame. Also if the South Park boys were ten years older than they are, I would jump at the chance. 92. I firmly believe in the remark said by Kyle Broflovski in the South Park episode Cartoon Wars Part 2: "Either it's all okay or none of it is." I believe that if you are NOT willing to joke, talk, discuss, [insert any other form of speaking] about EVERYTHING, then you shouldn't talk at all. And that's why I love people Carlos Mencia and love shows like South Park. 93. I am sarcastic sometimes. 94. My favorite Harry Potter book is Deathly Hallows. I cried when I finished reading it. To date, that is the only book to illicit that kind of response from me. 95. I estimate that I have written anywhere from 400 to 800 different stories of varying lengths over the years. 96. In my opinion a person's most admirable trait is fighting for what they believe in. 97. My philosophy about great TV Shows is: A great TV show is made by the first and last episodes of the series. These 2 (or more) episodes create what it is in the hearts of the fans and viewers and it's place in history. People will always remember the first and last episode. 98. I have very good memory. I can remember a lot of great stuff. I remember stuff all the way back to my 3rd year of life. I remember my first day of Kindergarten. I suppose it helps with how good I am at trivia of things like South Park, Kim Possible, Harry Potter, Star Wars. 99. I like to receive mail. I love going to mail and looking in the box. It’s weird and I don’t CARE! 100. I love how I've grown as a writer since 2003; that has made the past few years the best of my life. |
